Holy Spirit Conference

Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9 at North Heights Arden Hills

We are called to seek His presence above all else and be a landing place for the Holy Spirit. But what does this truly look like in practice? Through worship, breakout sessions, and teachings, we will grow together in practical power, unashamed boldness, and unity. Registration is now open! Register and find details about speakers, breakout sessions, and more below.

Steve Perkins

Senior Pastor & Executive Director of ARC

Steve Perkins is a pastor and executive director of Alliance of Renewal Churches, a North American pastors' network of around 500 churches. He and his wife, Sarah, live in the woods on the Mississippi River and have four children and a daughter in law, ages 22 to 11.

Steve's session will focus on reclaiming a Spirit-filled Church. For too long, we in the western Church have believed that sound thinking will lead people to discover a relationship with Christ… with disappointing results. In the early Church, the apostles evangelized not only in word, but in deed—with signs and wonders. The future Church will be a Spirit-filled Church. We won’t be just a body that talks about theoretical power, but one who experiences practical power!

Dr. Joe Johnson

Doctor & Pastor

Joe has been active in Lutheran Holy Spirit Renewal since it began in the '80s. He has pastored four congregations over the past 45 years and continues doing inner healing prayer ministry and pastoral counseling. For fun, Joe enjoys being a grandpa, walking along the river, listening to birds sing, and praying. Joe and Judy live in Portland, Oregon.

"One of my passions in life is to see where Holy Spirit is working and jump into the deep end of Holy Spirit stream. Some of these streams include experiencing Holy Spirit gifts of healings— ministering inner healing for wounds of the heart and father wounds. The teaching I will focus on will include prayers for healing and fillings of the Holy Spirit."

Josiah Kennealy

Pastor & Founder of youngadultstoday

Josiah and his wife, Micah, lead youngadultstoday, a nonprofit serving young adults and those who lead young adult ministries by providing events, camps, conferences, and resources to foster godly community in the next generation! The Kennealys live near Minneapolis, Minnesota with their daughters Aurora and Avalon and have a 3rd child joining the family in Summer 2025!

Josiah's message will encourage believers to live unashamed of their faith by embracing the gospel's power, stepping boldly into their God-given commission, and overcoming fear through the Holy Spirit. The challenge for the audience to "shoot their shot" by being proactive in evangelism and praying intentionally for others to know Jesus.

Father Michael Becker

Pastor of Sts. Joachim and Anne & Vicar of Charisms

Fr Michael Becker grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota as the oldest of three children. After several years in ministry, he entered major seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1999. Recently he was assigned by Archbishop Hebda to be the Vicar of Charisms for the archdiocese, a first of its kind position in the Catholic Church. A new book which he is authoring on Scripture, including material on charisms of the Holy Spirit, should be coming out next year. He loves prayer, reading theology, hiking in mountains, and Italian cuisine. His focus at the Holy Spirit Conference will be the incorruptibility of the Body and revival. "God is bringing revival on the land, and He is asking His Church and people to be unified in prayer as He brings revival."

Breakout Sessions

"Normalizing prophecy - everyone gets to prophesy!" - Dr. joe johnson

11:30am & 2:30pm: Prophecy is listening to God on behalf of someone else. We will learn how to hear God’s voice and speak prophetic blessings to one another. Everyone will be invited to receive anointing of oil and filling of the Holy Spirit.

"Shine your light: sharing your faith supernaturally" - josiah kennealy

11:30am & 2:30pm: In this breakout session, you will learn practical next steps to activate the power of the Holy Spirit and unlock the boldness to share your faith in your family, neighborhood, workplace, friend groups, and communities of impact.

"Healing without hype" - Steve Perkins

11:30am & 2:30pm: Can God really use me to bring healing to someone else? Isn't healing just for people with a special gift or anointing? What if I pray and nothing happens? Steve Perkins is the senior pastor of Northgate Church in Ramsey, Minnesota where they’ve seen hundreds of healings this past year. Join him for this practical workshop on healing - without all the hype. Spoiler alert: It’s not something reserved for the spiritual elite. It’s available now and for every Christian.

"Deliverance" - Rhonda Dippon

11:30am Breakout: The Why, Who, and How of Deliverance Ministry. Why do we need deliverance? Who needs deliverance? And how do we prepare ourselves for deliverance ministry? 2:30pm Breakout: Elements of Deliverance. What is involved in deliverance ministry? Learn about the discovery, prayers, and staying free.

"The Holy Spirit & Incorruptibility of the Body" - Father Michael Becker

2:30pm: It seems that a growing number of saintly men and women endowed with the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, show post mortem signs of incorruptibility of their bodies, some even for many years. Two American figures are St. John of San Francisco, a bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, and Mother Wilhemina, an African-American mother superior of a community in Missouri. In fact, there are many more throughout the world. Come and learn how the Holy Spirit is the artisan of the resurrected body, witnessed to in sign by these figures.

"Baptism in the holy spirit & tongues" - Jim Anderson

11:30am & 2:30pm: Stay tuned for details on this breakout session.
